Outside the Ball’s Love Week continues as our host Mayleen Ramey talks to Monica Puig about her baseball boo, Derek Dietrich.
“Believe it or not we actually met when I threw out the first pitch for the (Miami) Marlins, after I won the Olympics.” Monica began. “We kind of lost touch for a little bit, but he kept writing and writing and something told me just write back and here we are.”
Monica thought her first pitch went well, and clearly, her skills impressed Dietrich. “She knows how to throw a baseball, that’s good,” Puig joked.
